SERDANG, 31 March – A group of students from the Tan Sri Aishah Ghani College (KTAG), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), grabbed the opportunity to set up their own business at the college Ramadan bazaar to gain extra income to pay for a mobility programme that they will be participating in September.

Nurshuhairah Rosmi, 20, a second-semester student undertaking the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, said the bazaar also helped her gain experience in conducting business.

"We are involved in a mobility programme to Korea this coming September, so this is one of our efforts to raise funds. We obtain kuih from suppliers to sell here. The money received from this business will be used to cover the cost of the mobility programme.

"I enjoy selling as it allows me to interact with the bazaar visitors and improves my entrepreneurship, particularly in attracting customers," she said.

Meanwhile, a member of the College Representative Council (MPK) for entrepreneurship, Salsabila Hanani Jauhari Affendi, 20, sold various types of drinks to generate income for the entrepreneurship secretariat of the college.

"As an appointed member of the College Representative Council (MPK), I felt a sense of responsibility to generate income for the secretariat," she said. - UPM
